Derrick turned 21 today. Here is a shot I took last winter back at 104 McDougall. The kid's room had an en-suite. Bastard.

dark nights

I was looking through some older photos from my last co-op term in Mississauga (last January). One night I got bored and went out to get some night shots. It was late and really cold. I really don't know what I was thinking. I was amped though, since my camera was brand new.

promo

A while back did some photos for a friend, Jen. She had an audition with Fefe Dobsuum (.sp.??) to play bass and asked if I could so some shots for her. Never really shot any 'promos' before. She was easy to work with and loved the camera. Made for a decent shoot.

I was back home this weekend. Went to Justin's house and shot a few photos. Messing around with some old masks we found, which was pretty funny.

Killington VT

Back in High school my family and I would spend March Break in Killington Vermont. As I got older we would bring up a crew and get our own chalet. There were some great times and great riding on these trips. When I went away to school I could not come since reading week was in February. Fortunately last winter I was on a co-op term and managed to get the time off to tag along with the family. Some family friends went for the trip as well. I rode everyday with Brandon (brother) and little Kev. The kid rips. The weather and conditions were great. On the last day Brandon and I hiked to the top of Killington Peak. It was windy as hell, but got a few shots off.

I miss Skateboarding

Back in October I once again became stoked on skateboarding. Two big events were going on in early October; the Canadian Open and the Girl Team demo. Unfortunately I was not able to get out to the Canadian Open in Mississauga. It was also quite expensive. I did however, head over to Iceland to see if any pros from the Canadian Open were ripping the park. No such luck. I did run into Pat from high school who was taking advantage of the sweet weather. I shot a few quick photos of him on a decent sized ledge. He couldn't stay long, as he had to get back to suburbia (ANC).

Later that week, Justin Jeff and I decided to check out the Markham skatepark. We were quite impressed. This park was really fun, considering it was pitch black out. Jeff tried the wall ride a few times. Ended up eating it HARD.

That following weekend was the Girl Demo. They were going to hold it at Iceland. Unfortunately it was raining out. Therefore they had to move it to a local indoor park (CBMK). I was kinda bummed when found out that the demo was moved. However, in the end it turned out to be pretty sick. Jeremy Rodgers and McCrank were owning the place. Didn't get any really good shots. Shooting this demo got me alot more stoked on Skate photography though. Still have alot to learn.

Montreal Weekend

Three weeks ago Ian, Jesse and I hiked to Montreal. We decided to drive up on the Friday night as we were seeing a show on the Saturday. This was a pretty big show so we decided to go. On the Friday night we stopped over in Cornwall to get some sleep, and stayed at the CHEAPEST motel in town. The Nite's Inn. This place was sweet. $45. No tax. Two double beds. It even had a bathroom.

Next day we drove the rest of the way to Montreal. We spent the day walking around town. This city is awesome. Better than Toronto. We ended up on the McGill campus, where we crashed one of the residence lounges to nap and watch TV. The show started around 6. The Fearless Vampire Killers consist of John Joseph (Cro-Mags) and Craig Ahead (Straight Ahead, SOIA) playing Cro-mags and Bad Brains covers. This show was actually stacked. It was The Wrongside's final show in Canada, which was fun. Got to see Final Word again which was sweet. LOJ played. Jesse's favorite band, Power played as well. After the show we ate amazing pizza, got in the car and drove back to Ontario. We left Montreal around midnight and got back to Toronto around 5 or 5:30, cant really remember as I trippin out on no sleep.

At the end of the trip we decided that it was kind of a stupid idea to go (considering we were only in Montreal for 13 hours or something), but in the end we had a great time. Hitch, Club Bangers Battle, Ronis.

Summer

Today it snowed for the first time this season. I miss summer.
We were all really drunk this afternoon up in Muskoka at the infamous Lakeskatonmytits. This place is incredible. It is a private lake without a single cottage to be seen on it. The portage sucked and paddling across the entire lake with four dudes in the canoe, two coolers, fishing gear, and a bunch of other junk, while towing three drunken idiots on an inner tube was SKETCH.
Photo turned out alright considering I was blasted.

blahh, I have a blog

Well, I finally went insane and decided to start up a photoBlog. I have been wanting to get a website going for sometime now, but I have had some issues with browser requirements, changing layouts, and in the end deciding to make a whole new site. I find that once I have finished completing a site, I don't like it anymore and want something new. Yeah I am picky. I do have ALOT of photos so I thought that maybe a blog would be a good idea. Anyways, we will see how long this actually lasts. I will possibly have an official website sometime soon, maybe...Hopefully.
